Recipe for Shillelagh Law:

1) Start with a mix of rowdy Irish and Scottish pub songs, lightning-fingered jigs and reels, a cappella sea shanties in harmony, and an occasional moving Celtic ballad.
2) Give it a unique flavor by stirring in some elements of bluegrass, contemporary songwriting, and jamband-style improvisation. 
3) Add in the talented Celtic dancers that sometimes show up and perform with the band.
4) Now imagine all that after the audience has consumed a lot of Guinness and Bushmill's.
5) And there you have it: Shillelagh Law, "the ale-swillingest, whiskey-drinkingest, floor-poundingest, love-makingest Irish Band in the world!"

Shillelagh Law was an Birmingham institution since 1999 through multiple personnel changes.  Former members include guitarist/vocalist Beau Goss, fiddler Leo McDermott, bodhran & guitar player Beth Wetheral, and Dain Forsythe on bodhran, whistle, bagpipes & vocals.

The band is on hiatus because of other commitments for each of us, but may still play a special show on occasion.   Check with me if interested in booking the band.
